OUR BACKGROUND

In an ever-changing market, finding the right trade and a fitting training program might seem like an impossible task. My love for teaching and educating my fellow citizens as well as my interest in firearms brought me to the point in my life where I decided to become a certified firearms instructor.

At 2A PATRIOT FIREARMS TRAINING, we’re committed to providing the highest quality education focused on SAFETY, ACCURACY, and CONSISTENCY. Our programs are flexible and our goal is to give you the confidence to handle your firearm safely in your day-to-day life.

Refunds / Deposits

At 2A PATRIOT FIREARMS TRAINING we have a no refund policy. Our class sizes are limited to provide an unparalleled and individualized experience for each of our students. To do this we require prepayment and preregistration for all 2A PATRIOT FIREARMS TRAINING classes and courses.  This creates a more safe environment and allows better supervision on the range.

When you register for a class and then cancel that means someone else could have taken your seat in that particular class. The only time a refund will be given is if 2A PATRIOT FIREARMS TRAINING is able to rebook your reserved seat. A deposit is required to hold your spot in a group class. If cancellation becomes necessary due to low attendance, weather, etc. we will make every effort to inform clients in a timely manner, and a full refund will be issued, or the client may reschedule for another class.

Private classes

From experience, we realized that people are more comfortable talking and learning about firearms if they are in an environment they know and with people they know. So we developed a form of CWL classes given in private homes.

 

If you would like to host a CWL class and invite some friends to it, please let us know.  The only portion of the class that has to be completed at the range is the proficiency test. We can schedule the proficiency test for the same day as the class or another day if that works better for you and your friends. Once we have completed the range we will hand you your certificate of completion and you can apply for your Florida CWL.

How does a Private class work?

Safety Policy

  • Student, Instructor, and bystander safety is the primary value of 2A PATRIOT FIREARMS TRAINING (2APFT). Our staff will not knowingly allow safety to be compromised at any time, for any reason.

  • Every student must participate in the Range Safety Briefing conducted prior to live-fire training.

  • 2APFT reserves the right to end any student's participation in classroom or range activities at any time if the safety of any participant or staff is compromised due to students' actions.

  • PPE is required at the range and every student must wear PPE during live-fire training.

  • Students will be required to follow all range safety commands from 2APFT staff and/or range safety officers immediately, accurately, and without argument.

  • During live-fire exercises, each student will receive a MAXIMUM of 3 safety warnings, with mandatory expulsion from the group upon the 4th "Finger," "Muzzle," or "Safety" violation.

  • Any "Negligent Discharge" will result in immediate, mandatory expulsion from any 2APFT courses.

  • Any student expelled from a 2APFT course for a Negligent Discharge or other isolated safety violation will be evaluated by 2APFT staff for possible inclusion in one-on-one training at a future date and for an additional fee.

  • The decision to permanently expel or to invite a student back for one-on-one training following expulsion is the sole domain of 2A PATRIOT FIREARMS TRAINING Staff and is non-negotiable.

Anyone attending class under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The Firearms Training Academy will not be responsible for minors while in class and should it become necessary for the instructor to remove a minor from class, a parent or guardian will need to be available. Minors also cannot legally sign our liability waiver, so a parent or guardian also need to be available to sign the document.
